2024 what a year!

Writer's picture: Karen OsborneKaren Osborne

This has been my first year as a professional artist and what a year it has been. Back in January when I was planning and setting resolutions for the year ahead I didn't imagine that I would achieve even half of what I hoped. If any you creatives out there doubt yourselves, all I can say is hold on to your dreams.

I have engaged with artist friends across the globe, and shown work at galleries with some artists closer to home. I've exhibited my work, grown my style with the help of regular sketch-booking ( including a 100 days of landscapes) and studio time, and have sent some of my work off to new homes.

Very soon I'll be planning for next year and I will not hold back on my goals for increasing my art practice and growing my list of lovely clients and contacts.

Oh, and did I forget to say that I ended the year taking part in a local Brooklands Radio interview for inspiring women. That was not something that I expected to be doing this year!

Best wishes to everyone for 2025!
