about me
After a career as a Creative Director in the stills photography industry, I re-established myself as an artist in 2019, and now work from my home studio in Surrey.
I work intuitively with acrylic and mixed media to create expressive, colourful, energetic works on canvas, board and paper and have developed a fluid semi-abstract style.
I take inspiration from nature in all its forms; from the detail of a single garden flower to the wild sweep of countryside and coast. My fascination with the beauty of the world informs my work. Subverting the way that we see nature by abstracting and removing detail and focusing on the energy of a place.

I was honoured to have been selected as one of the founding artists for the VAA global Open Spaces art trail.
OpenSpaces is all about showcasing art around the world, and redefining how and where art is experienced.
I showcased my Dreamscapes series for the trail, which explores the idea of imagined vistas, shaped less by real places and more by emotion and memory. What I have valued most while showing this collection are the conversations that the artworks have sparked. Their ambiguity allows for a dialogue between viewers and myself, in which personal interpretation is key. The series allows for shared moments, discussions and connections in which not only the impact of the artwork itself, but the very act of discussion and connection serves to transform the space in which they are viewed.
