In my Far from the madding series I explore a long held preoccupation with the idea that we can never truly be alone in modern society. A sense of nostalgia for a past that I never fully knew, in a time in which we cannot be entirely alone. In Far from 1 we see glimpses of written word echoing life’s chatter, and scraps of maps show through gestural marks that form a landscape through which an illusive figure moves.
